Plan on spending a lot of time putting the sections together; two or 3-full days are generally required to put together a small metal shed. However if you’re looking at large garage or airplane hanger sheds, these large section metal sheds are extremely cost effective. A pre-constructed wood shed is the most expensive option. Locating the finished product is another consideration if you consider placing it at an out of the way location. A level location, small gravel bed with concrete blocks can serve as a foundation. Another choice is to build it on a concrete pad. The last choice is to build it from scratch using a shed plan and choosing an attractive structure that will compliment the landscape of your property. Building your own is much cheaper than buying a ready made one. If you need a plan, they come with step by step instructions and diagrams along with a complete list of materials.
